Small-lot production of the first in the world seven-league boots began in the Russia’s republic of Bashkiria. These boots, invented about 40 years ago and called “Saigak”, let ordinary walker make up to 17 km an hour in the cross-country. Seven-league boots operate on petrol. Aviation and Technical State University of Ufa (Ufa is a capital of Bashkiria), where the unique boots were invented and produced, has reported that serial production of “Saigak” is to be set going in Bashkiria. Unfortunately, it is an infrequent occurrence for our country when the invention was realised not abroad, but in the homeland. Scholars of the university placed orders to r Russia’s factories and have a right to export these high-tech goods. In spite of the fact that foreign competitors are greatly interested in this invention, the scholars managed to keep the new technical ideas in secret. Every boot has a internal-combustion engine, Interfax reports. 400 grams of petrol are needed to overpass the distance of 100 kilometres.
