Georgia is in the middle of talks with Ukraine and Czechia trying to get help building up further her air defence. According to Grigol Katamadze, Georgia's Ambassador to Ukraine, that country is expected to assist Georgia enhancing the existing and buying new technology and training her personnel.
According to the press service of the UN Association of Georgia, the authorities decided to build up air defence after the alleged bombings on August 23. This will force the government of Georgia to amend the republic's budget.
As President Eduard Shevarnadze said during a briefing on Monday, 'In case the violations continue, Georgia will have to do what any other country would do. Our hands are long enough for us not to remain helpless'.
