Vladimir Putin: We will not negotiate with child-killers

Internal investigation regarding the tragedy in Beslan will be enough.

This has been reported by the Russian President Vladimir Putin during a special press-conference for foreign journalists and political analysts who have been working in the country for a significant number of years. Putin has been answering questions concerning the need to conduct an open investigation.

“I want to establish exact chronology of the events, to find those responsible and punish the guilty; to do this, internal investigation is enough,” stated Putin.

At the same time, Vladimir Putin noted that he would not object if the Russian parliament decides to conduct its own investigation. However, stated the president, such investigation could turn into yet another “political show”.

In his interview to the British Guardian Putin stated that those who urge him to begin negotiating with leaders of Chechen separatists simply have absolutely no idea about conscience whatsoever.  When asked why he refused to negotiate with the terrorists, Russian President replied: “Why don’t you meet with Osama bin Laden? Why don’t you invite him over to Brussels or the White House; why not negotiate with him and ask him what he wishes and provide him with everything as soon as he leaves you alone?”

“If Western governments had imposed limits on conducting negotiations with these bastards, the why do we have to we have to negotiate with the child-killers?”-added Putin.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, -said the Russian president, - but former Prime Minister of Britain Margaret Thatcher had once said that a person who had gone out on the streets and killed other people, had to be destroyed.”

“No one has a moral right to tell us to negotiate with those who had killed our children,” concluded the president.
