Dmitry Medvedev wants to escape from his bodyguards

Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev dreams to drive a car without bodyguards. Medvedev made such a confession answering questions from visitors of ‘Russian President for Schoolchildren’ website.

“I do not own a car at the moment. I drive an official car with security. This is how it should be. But it would be great to escape somewhere,” the president said.

Medvedev also said that he does not know what job he is going to have when he steps down. “I will have a very good rest at first,” he said.

Answering teenagers’ questions, the president said that he used to be a good student at school, although not a straight-A student.

“Chemistry, Russian language and maths used to be my favorite subjects at school. I would rather not name the subject I did not like to study because you may stop studying it. You may think that you do not have to study it because it’s not required for becoming the president,” Medvedev said.

Speaking about his family life, Medvedev said that he got married at 28, that his son, Ilya, is 12 and that his wife, Svetlana, raises the boy, does house work and helps her husband at times.

Answering the question about holiday preference, Medvedev patriotically said that he does not travel outside Russia for holidays. “I went to Altay last summer. I also visited the Astrakhan region and then traveled to Vladivostok. I went to Sochi in the spring of this year to ski. If I can I take all my family along,”

The above-mentioned website officially opened in January of the current year and was devoted to then President Vladimir Putin. The website was made to provide Russian schoolchildren with information about the democratic institute of presidency, about state symbols and other questions pertaining to activities of the Russian president.
