Tourists bring more money into Sweden than cars

The export value of the tourism industry, which reflects what foreign tourists spend in Sweden, increased by almost 19 percent to 62.2 billion kronor US$8.4 billion, the AP reports.

The tourism industry has also helped create more than 35,000 new full-time jobs, an increase of 35 percent since 1995, it said.
