Tony Blair's son to attend Yale

British Prime Minister Tony Blair's eldest son has accepted admission to a Yale graduate program, the school said Tuesday, weeks after he left an unpaid internship on Capitol Hill.

Euan Blair, 22, is entering a two-year master's program in international relations, Yale said. Last year, he completed an undergraduate degree course in ancient history at Bristol University in England.

In May, he left an internship with U.S. Rep. Jane Harman after just a few weeks. He also had interned for U.S. Rep. David Dreier and the House Rules Committee.

Blair, one of the prime minister's four children, has attracted considerable media attention in England.

He was arrested in 2000 when police found him drunk and vomiting in central London after celebrating the end of school exams.

Yale's international relations program usually admits 25-30 students each year, reports AP.
