A bus overturned after running off the road in central Sweden on Friday, leaving more than a dozen passengers trapped inside and likely injured, police and rescue officials said. Rescuers were trying to extricate about 15 people who were not able to get out from the mangled bus, rescue service spokeswoman Karin Thunberg said. She said 35 people had been able to leave the wreckage.
The number of injured was not immediately clear. Police spokesman Ulf Palm said the accident occurred on a highway just east of Orebro, about 100 kilometers (65 miles) east of Stockholm. He said it was unclear whether other vehicles had been involved in the accident, reports the AP. I.L.
