The excavation works on the Russian Su-27 crash scene in Lithuania ended on Sunday, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry press service said. The last air-to-air missile of the Su-27 was found on Saturday.
Ukrainian specialists are visiting Lithuania to help decode the information from the Su-27 flight recorder. “The flight recorder information is of great value, so the decoding process is slow and meticulous.
Every detail counts,” a representative of the Lithuanian Prosecutor General’s Office told Itar-Tass. He said the decoding results would be important for Su-27 pilot Valery Troyanov, who is under pretrial investigation on the suspicion of breaching flight safety rules, Itar-Tass report. The source said that the flight recorder information might be decoded by Monday or Tuesday.
