Pinochet's wife questioned over tax evasion
The wife of former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet Lucia Hiriart was indicted on tax evasion, court officials said Wednesday.
Judge Sergio Munoz issued the indictment after questioning Hiriart as part of his investigation on the former military ruler multi-million secret bank accounts abroad.
Munoz ordered Pinochet's wife to remain under arrest at the Santiago Military hospital.
After issuing his surprise ruling, the judge was questioning Pinochet's younger son, Marco Antonio, the AP reports.
