"Meet the Fockers" if you like "Meet the Parents"

The story of "Meet the Parents" didn't call for a sequel, but the success of it certainly did. And so we get "Meet the Fockers," an amusing-enough comedy in which our hero, Gaylord Focker (Ben Stiller), must now endure the agony of watching his stiff future in-laws meet his bohemian parents.

For audiences that loved "Meet the Parents," the movie is a welcome chance to revisit funny and familiar characters. But the picture doesn't come close to approaching the near-classic quality of the earlier film, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

According to the CNN, you can't argue with the talent involved. Ben Stiller is back as the overly earnest Gaylord "Greg" Focker, with both Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner once again playing Jack and Dina Byrnes, his in-laws to be. Teri Polo is back in place as his fiance Pam.
