Boeing prevails on CIS market of foreign-made aircraft

Boeing is in control of 79 percent of the market of foreign-made aircraft in Russia and the rest of the CIS, head of the Boeing branch for Russia and the CIS reported at a press conference today. According to him, Boeing accounts for 87 out of 110 foreign-made aircraft operating in Russia.

Kravchenko added that in 2003 the company had supplied 30 aircraft to Russia and the rest of the CIS, the bulk of them on terms of financial leasing to the Russian-based airlines Aeroflot and Transaero. In the reported period, among the most active partners of Boeing were airlines from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Turkmenistan.
