Poll: 68% of Europeans welcome Russia's possible entry into EU

68% of Europeans welcome the possible entry of Russia into the EU. Moreover, 70% of Europeans think that Russian citizens can engage in any activity with citizens of Europe already. Only 17% of Europeans said they would not welcome Russia's entry into the EU, according to a survey conducted by the Social Information Agency and Research Opinion Fund and delivered to Rosbalt.

Moreover, 64% of Europeans welcome a non-visa regime between Russia and the EU. Only 19% are opposed to the creation of such a regime. Meanwhile, 60% of Russians welcome the possible entry of Russia into the EU, while 11% are opposed.

The poll was conducted from January 12 through January 25. A total of 1265 residents from Amsterdam, Brussels, Vienna, Berlin, Warsaw, Dublin, London, Madrid, Paris and Rome took part.
