Bush plans to assassinate Castro

Cuban leader Fidel Castro accused American President George Bush in planning to assassinate him in order to completely end the socialist regime on the island.

“We learnt about Mr. Bush's attempt to kill me with the aid of the mafia of Cuban-American fund. This is my official statement where I am officially accusing Bush,” said Castro.

The 77-year-old Cuban leader has announced the statement at the closing ceremony of the third regional meeting of the fight against North American free trade zone, which had been created by the US.

Castro's speech lasted for more than five hours. In it he addressed 1000 delegates from 32 countries. He said he was ready to die fully armed in case the US invades the island’s territory.
