TNK-BP willing to fill Ukrainian oil pipeline

TNK-BP is ready to send up to 450 tonnes of oil to Ukrtransnafte as a three-year loan. The Ukrainian company had appealed to oil companies in CIS and European countries for oil on loan in order to fill the Odessa-Brody pipeline.

As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by the press office of TNK-Ukraine, the agreement has already been reached and the interest rate on the loan will be significantly lower than the market average.

According to Alexander Gorodetsky, president of TNK-Ukraine, the company has invested over USD 100 million in the Ukrainian economy and intends to continue doing business in the country. For this reason TNK-BP decided to make the deal with Ukrtransnafte and allocate the necessary volume of oil for filling the pipeline.

TNK-BP controls 30% of the Ukrainian retail market for fuel.
