The crown prince of Spain, Prince Felipe of Asturias, will visit Russia from June 23 to 27.
As RIA Novosti was told in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Prince Felipe will be received by president of Russia Vladimir Putin.
The programme of the stay of the Prince of Asturias includes the inauguration in Moscow of a monument to the Spaniards who perished during the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the U.S.S.R.
In St. Petersburg Prince Felipe will attend the opening of the 2nd Festival of Culture of Catalonia to be held within the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the city.
He will also visit the exhibition in the Hermitage (one of the largest arts and cultural-historical museum in the world) devoted to Peter the Great and will open the exhibition devoted to Spanish artist Salvador Dali. The Prince will also inaugurate the monument to Spanish engineer Augustin de-Betancur who was in Russian service in the 19th century and made a large contribution to the development of railroads in Russia.
The present trip of Prince Felipe to Russia is his second one over the past eighteen month. During his first visit he inaugurated in Moscow a subsidiary of the Cervantes Institute which engages in spreading Spanish culture in other countries.
