Participants of International youth forum "Baltic Star" arrived in Lubeck

German city of Lubeck welcomed participants in the "Baltic Star" International youth forum from 11 countries who arrived there on board the cruise ship on Saturday. The forum is carried out under the auspices of the Moscow centre of development of the Russian language sponsored by the RF President's spouse who is "taking care" of young guests.

Lyudmila Putin visited the city town hall built in the late 16th century, one of the most distinguished architectural monuments in Northern Germany. At the entrance to the city hall she was warmly welcomed by Doris Schreder-Kepf, the spouse of the German chancellor, who presented her a luxuriant bouquet of roses, as well as by Heide Simonis, prime minister of the federal land of Schleswig-Holstein. In her turn Lyudmila Putin thanked the German first lady and the prime minister of the land for warm welcome. According to the Russian President's spouse, not in every state of the world ordinary citizens demonstrated their interest in the events taking place in the world so actively as compared to Germany. Lyudmila Putin indicated that "if it was possible to "get lost" in a crowd in any other state, that was impossible in Germany and that was a proof that every citizen of the country took part in the political life".

Both spouses of heads of states conversed in a friendly atmosphere. The last time Lyudmila Putin met Doris Schreder last week in Saint Petersburg during the festivities on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the city on the Neva, and today the German chancellor's spouse specially arrived to Lubeck from Hannover to meet Lyudmila Putin.
