Well-known Ukrainian journalist Alexander Krivenko who held the post of the Public Radio president of late was killed in a car accident in Ukraine on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
On the 39th kilometre of the Kiev-Chernigov-Novye Yarilovichi highway at 2.20 local time the Volkswagen-Golf car of the coordinator of the OSCE projects in Ukraine in which Krivenko was went off the road and crashed into a tree, the Kiev traffic inspection told RIA Novosti.
Senior official of the office of the coordinator of the OSCE projects in Ukraine Ghizo Grdzelidze who was driving the car was also killed in the accident. The accident occurred on an unlighted section of the road without any slopes, the traffic inspection said. The causes of the accident are not known so far.
At different time Alexander Krivenko, 40, headed the news service departments of the Ukrainian TV channels Studiya 1 + 1 and STB, of the Politika I Kultura (Politics and Culture) weekly, and the newspaper Postup.
