The inauguration of President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan will take place Wednesday in the congress hall of the Armenian Government, the presidential press service said.
The inauguration ceremony will be attended by Cabinet members, parliamentarians, spokesmen for international organisations, and ambassadors accredited in the Armenian capital, Yerevan.
Selecting a place for the inauguration ceremony caused a heated debate in parliament, as the national opera house, where it was held last time, is under repair. Some suggested that inauguration be held at the Sports and Show Centre named after Karen Demirchyan, the father of Stepan Demirchyan who was Kocharyan's main rival at the elections, but that was considered unethical.
The inauguration ceremony is to be preceded by a National Assembly session - this week the hearings on whether the outcome of the second round of the presidential elections is to be recognised invalid are held in the Constitutional Court.
Wednesday morning the radical opposition is going to call a rally in Yerevan and organise a march to the Government building.
