Poor weather conditions suspend search operations at air crash site

As RIA Novosti learned on the phone from the police station of Uberlingen, on Saturday bad weather made German search services suspend their operations on the bank of Lake Andelshofer Weyer located not far from the site of the crash of the Russian TU-154 and cargo Boeing-757 planes. According to a police spokesman, debris of the airplanes can be found on the bottom of the lake, possibly, along with the bodies of the last two victims to the terrible catastrophe. As of today, the bodies of 69 of 71 victims have been found.

The operations were suspended since the soil on the bank has gotten sodden from rain and there is a danger that the equipment will slip down into the lake. However, according to Novosti's interviewee, as soon as rain stops and the earth dries a bit, the work will resumed. The representative of the police station assured that the German search services would do their utmost to find the bodies of all the air crash victims.

As of today, they have found the majority of debris of the TU-154 and the Boeing which collided in mid-air over Bodensee. The discovered debris are being delivered to a special hangar in the airport of the city of Friedrichshafen. They will be carefully examined by the special commission composed of German, Russian and American experts. If necessary, both planes or one of them will be reconstructed to picture the collision.
