On Wednesday, the executive secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Yuri Yarov, has arrived in Tbilisi for talks with the leadership of Georgia. Yarov will discuss with Georgian government officials an agenda for upcoming conferences of the council of the heads of state, government and foreign ministers of the Commonwealth. The CIS executive secretary will be received by Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze and Foreign Minister Irakli Menagarishvili. Yarov has come to Tbilisi from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, where he had similar consultations with the host country's political top. On April 27, the executive secretary of the Commonwealth is due in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
