Saddam Hussein proposes that "hesitant arab leaders" should be overthrown

Iraq's president Saddam Hussein called upon the Arab world to overthrow the "hesitant Arab leaders". In his opinion, "it is impossible to liberate Palestine" without this. A statement to this effect was issued by the Iraqi government. However, the Iraqi leader did not name the Arab leaders which should be deprived of power in his opinion. The statement quotes the president as saying that the liberation of Palestine is impossible if hesitant rulers are not deprived of power. Meanwhile, military training of volunteers for the so-called "Army for the Liberation of Jerusalem" is going on in Iraq. According to the Iraqi press reports, more than one million people have already joined it. The Iraqi newspapers report that foodstuffs for the volunteers have been provided by local self-government bodies on whose territories the volunteers' camps are sited.
