Russian Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu has called on his counterparts from the Commonwealth of Independent States /CIS/ in Dushanbe to carefully chart routes for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan. A Dushanbe session of the emergencies ministers from Russia and the Central Asian region is discussing the coordination of interaction between CIS rescue departments on the provision of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. Irina Andrianova, press-secretary of the Russian Emergencies Minister, told RIA Novosti that, summing up the meeting, the CIS emergencies ministers intend to make a special statement on the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
