Vladimir Putin Receives Credentials From Ambassadors Of Kuwait, Iran, Bahrain, Estonia, Ireland, Mongolia

On Wednesday Russian President Vladimir Putin received in the Kremlin credentials from the ambassadors of Kuwait, Iran, Bahrein, Estonia, Ireland and Mongolia. He said at the ceremony that the ambassadors are getting powers at a period crucial for the destinies of the world, when "many ideas on ways of development of the world are being seriously reappraised". Putin gave a brief assessment of Russia's relations with each of these countries. He said that the development of friendly relations with Kuwait is for Russia "an important factor of security and stability in the Persian Gulf region", and the cooperation with Ireland "one of the important components of relations with the European Union". Russia is satisfied with the development of political dialogue and trade-economic, scientific-technical cooperation with Iran, just as intensive relations with Mongolia, said President Putin. As regards Bahrein, the president expressed the hope that interaction with that state will acquire a concrete content and many-sided character. Concerning Estonia, Moscow seeks equitable cooperation with all of its Baltic neighbors and is "prepared by a combined effort to eliminate roadblocks arising on this road". It is above all "well-grounded international concerns related to the position of the Russian-speaking population", stressed the Russian president.
