Two Polish Archaeological Exhibitions Open In Moscow

Two Polish archaeological exhibitions opened in the Vernadsky State Geological Museum, Moscow Tuesday as part of the Days of Polish Science in Russia. The first exhibition represents finds discovered when laying the Yamal (Siberia) - Europe gas pipeline. Gold, silver and bronze decorations from a Gothic barrow (the Goths are ancient German tribes living in the lower reaches of the Vistula in early A.D./ are among the most precious finds. The second exhibition represents finds discovered in the valley of the Middle Nile. Polish scientists reconstructed the history of this region for the period of 150,000 years.
