Taleban Ban English From Their Territory

Taleban have banned the English language from the Taliban-controlled part of Afghanistan. The newspaper Frontier Post cites the United Nations missions to Islamabad and Peshawar as saying that even UN officials who still remain in Afghanistan are forbidden to speak English. All negotiations, including rarely occurring telephone conversations, are conducted in Pashto or Dari, usually in the presence of a Taliban representative.
