According to the information provided to the RIA Novosti correspondent in the British Defense department, British air force aircraft do not participate in the second wave of strikes against Afghanistan. On Monday afternoon (it will be Tuesday in Moscow) US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld intends to "inform the country" of the results of the first strikes against Afghanistan. Rumsfeld stated that the anti-terrorist operation "would last for several years" and probably would involve alongside with Afghanistan some other countries.
