Russian, Ukrainian Presidents To Meet In Kharkov, November

Vladimir Putin and Leonid Kuchma, respective Presidents of Russia and Ukraine, are expected to meet in Kharkov, Ukraine, this coming November, said Russian Premier Mikhail Kasyanov who is currently on a visit in Kiev. The November meeting, he said, is going to bring forth decisions on virtually entire range of trade and other economic relations between the two countries. Then a mixed session of an intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation, due to take place in Moscow on December 3, will hear reports on the above problem and adopt decisions on unsettled issues, according to Kasyanov. It is a bilateral trade regime, tax problems and Black Sea Fleet-related issues that will dominate the above meetings, said the Russian premier. All the problems, the two countries' public and governments have been facing, are going to be resolved by the end of this year or the beginning of next year, which has been announced in Russia a year of Ukraine, said the premier.
