A Russian-Indian summit meeting will be held in the Kremlin on Tuesday. In the morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will have a narrow-format meeting, the Kremlin's deputy chief of staff Sergei Prikhodko has told RIA Novosti. Approximately at noon, they will be joined by members of their delegations. Upon completion of the negotiations, the parties are expected to sign joint documents and give a brief press conference. According to Prikhodko, Putin and Vajpayee will sign the Moscow Declaration on International Terrorism. Besides, the president and the prime minister will adopt two joint statements - on bilateral relations and global political problems, and on strategic stability. Several other documents referring to various fields of bilateral cooperation have been prepared for signing in the presence of the two leaders in the Kremlin. These include a memorandum between Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry and India's Ministry of Science and Technology on the development of cooperation in preventing emergencies and cleaning up their consequences, a memorandum on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kudankulan, and a protocol on cooperation between the Astrakhan region and the Gujarat state.
