George Bush Believes NATO Must Take A Different Look At Its Relations With Russia

US president George Bush holds the view that NATO must take a different look at its relations with Russia, while for its part the USA must help Russia work out new relations with NATO. A RIA Novosti correspondent reports that Bush stated this on Monday at the meeting with a group of Russian journalists in the Roosevelt Hall of the White House before the start of Vladimir Putin's official visit to the USA. According to Bush, such "unique" relations between NATO and Russia when they would carry out "active cooperation" in the sphere of non-proliferation and struggle against terrorism would meet the interests of the world community. In mutual relations with NATO Russia can play a "consultative role" but this role "can evolve", Bush stated and added that "we considered all the possibilities" in the question of Russian participation.
