Russia, USA To Join Hands For Better Russia-NATO Contacts

Russia and the USA agreed to work together to promote and improve Russia-NATO contacts, says a joint statement on new Russo-US relations, which sums up the opening day of bilateral negotiations in Washington. The signatories vouch support for efforts toward a free, united and peaceful Euro-Atlantic community with no exceptions and with respect for all countries' independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. With that goal in view, Russia and the USA and other NATO countries will work out new efficient consultation patterns for joint decision-making and coordinated practical teamwork.
