Ramadan attacks in Algeria

The Islamic fundamentalists again launch attacks during Ramadan in Algeria.

Far from being a period of religious introspection and nocturnal feasts, Ramadan has become a time to fear in Algeria, since it is when the Islamic fundamentalists have stepped up their campaign of terror in recent years, claiming this to be the most appropriate time for a Jihad.

A bomb exploded in a bus station in central Algiers on November 20th, causing 29 injuries, some serious. It was placed at the Tafourah bus station at 8.45 in the morning, rush hour, to create as many casualties as possible.

This attack comes at a time when Algiers is recovering from the terrible storm of one week ago, which left 683 dead, 170 missing and thousands homeless.
