Great Britain is to command the international troops to be stationed in Afghanistan in accordance with the UN mandate, well-informed sources in London told RIA Novosti. It will be officially announced later this week after the forthcoming London negotiations between the British leaders and US Secretary of State Colin Powell, the sources said.
