The Vietnamese Airlines purchases four long-range trunk-route Boeings-777 200EP. This big deal is the first after Vietnam and the United States have recently signed a trade agreement. It is a graphic confirmation of the effectiveness of this document and also shows that it will in many respects contribute to the development of the Vietnamese economy and trade, the management of the airlines told RIA Novosti on Wednesday. The first plane, out of the four, is to be received by the company in 2003. (The cost of each plane is 680 million dollars.) The rest of the Boeings will come in the following two years. They will fly on the routes connecting Vietnam with China, Japan and Australia. As RIA Novosti was told in the Vietnamese Airlines, in the future they will possibly be used for non-stop flights between Hanoi and Moscow.
