One Of The Members Of The Taliban Leadership Has Been Wounded

A Taliban leader, Mullah Jalaluddin Haqqani, has been seriously wounded. As the Peshawar-based Afghan Islamic Press Agency reports, Haqqani was wounded on November 16th by US bombings in the town of Khosta (the province of Paktia in eastern Afghanistan) and "possibly even died of the wounds." Among the 62 killed during the air raid there were several relatives of the Mullah and his body guards. Then Haqqani was moved in an unknown direction. Khosta and its environs were the place where several camps of the al-Qaida organisation, headed by bin-Laden, were located. They have been actively bombed by US aviation since October 7th.
