The Northern Alliance will preserve key posts in the Afghan transitional government headed by Khamid Karzai which is to start its work in Kabul on December 22. The UN conference in Bonn on Afghan settlement has taken this decision. According to Ahmad Fawzi, the spokesman for the UN Special Representative for Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah, Yunus Qanuni and Mohammad Fahim will be Afghan Foreign, Interior and Defence Ministers, correspondingly.
