Russian Finance Ministry Makes Another Payment On IMF Debt

The Russian Finance Ministry made another payment in the amount of about USD 25 million on debt to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The Finance Ministry informed RIA Novosti that in compliance with the original schedule of payments the amount should be transferred December 9, however, since this is a day-off, the payment is made today. The ministry reported that two more payments of USD 25 million each will be made on December 17 and 27. The IMF notes that Russia honours its obligations to the Fund in full.
