Uzbek President To Make Official Visit To Austria On December 10-12

On Monday, December 10, Uzbek President Islam Karimov will start an official visit to Austria on the invitation of the Federal President of the Austrian Republic, Thomas Klestil. In the course of the visit it is envisaged to discuss prospects for the development of Uzbek-Austrian relations and other issues of mutual interest. A number of bilateral documents is also due to be signed. The visit by Islam Karimov to Austria which was due on October 8 had been postponed due to the launch of the international anti-terrorist operation running in close proximity to Uzbekistan.
