In Ukraine 63 Inhabited Localities Switched Off

In Ukraine last night 63 inhabited localities have been left without electricity because of wet snow sticking to power transmission lines.

The elements have hit mostly the southern Nikovayev and Odessa regions of Ukraine, the RIA Novosti correspondent was told at the Ukrainian Ministry for Emergency Situations. In them, 33 and 15 towns and villages, respectively, have been left without electricity. Another 15 places have been affected in the Kharkov region in the east of Ukraine.

Emergency teams from regional power-distribution companies are doing rehabilitation work.
