FRG Chancellor sends condolences to Russia's president in the wake of Grozny act of terrorism

Gerhard Schroeder, Chancellor of West Germany, has sent Russian President Vladimir Putin condolences over the act of terrorism committed in Grozny, the RIA Novosti correspondent quotes the Press and Information Agency of the West German government as reporting on Monday.

The chancellor expresses "deep condolences and solidarity" and stresses that "the people of Germany in their thoughts are together with the victims of this act of terrorism and their families." "This cruel and senseless terrorist act has shown one more time that there can be no vindication for terrorism", says Gerhard Schroeder. "Together with our partners worldwide we have no right to, and will not ease our efforts to destroy terrorism in all its manifestations", noted the German chancellor.
