Russia, US Have Adjusted Veterinary Norms as Concerns Poultry Supplies

Alexei Gordeyev, the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, confirms that Russia and the US have adjusted veterinary norms concerning the supplies to our country of American chicken legs. According to a Rosbalt's reporter, while speaking today at a press conference in St. Petersburg, Mr. Gordeyev said that the final agreement to this effect had been reached between the two countries during a meeting between representatives from their agricultural agencies on August 20.

'The Americans have fully accepted Russia's demands', the minister said, and reminded those listening of that the veterinary service of the US had initialed the new veterinary certificate concerning the supplies to Russia of American poultry. The certificate goes into force on September 15.
