Polish Army to Replace Soviet Helicopters with Massive Apache Fleet

Poland Signs $4.77 Billion Deal for 96 Apache Helicopters

Under a $4.77 billion contract, Poland has officially secured the largest single order ever for Apache helicopters.

A total of 96 AH-64E helicopters with radar systems will be delivered to the Polish Army between 2028 and 2032, replacing older Soviet Mi-2 and Mi-24 helicopters.

Poland currently operates eight AH-64E helicopters leased from the US Army and plans to use them as training units until the full delivery of its ordered fleet.

This 96-helicopter order represents the largest individual purchase of Apache helicopters outside the US government since the platform entered US Army service in the 1980s.
