Ukraine intends to revise the conditions of transiting Russian gas to Europe. This is according to the statement Anatoly Kinakh, the Prime Minister of Ukraine made yesterday at a press conference in Ukrainian capital city.
Mr. Kinakh said Ukraine would more benefit if paid in cash instead of bartering her services. The Ukrainian government once again emphasised that it reserves the right to revise the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian agreement signed during the CIS summit in Chisinau, 'if such measure is required to protect Ukraine's interests.'
At this time, Ukraine's gas people are considering the ways of cooperating with Russia under the new agreement.
Yesterday, in Kiev, Prime Minister Anatoly Kinakh said if Ukraine finds the agreement signed with Russia in Chisinau detrimental to her interests, she might unilaterally walk out of it.
