Russian embassy in USA marks 10th anniversary of Frank Child Assistance Foundation

A festive evening was held at the Russian embassy in the USA to mark the 10th anniversary of the Frank Child Assistance International Foundation, a non-commercial Washington-based humanitarian organization which helps disabled children and orphans from Russia and other CIS countries. "It gives us sincere joy to mark the noble activity of the Frank Foundation," noted in his speech Russian Ambassador to the USA Yuri Ushakov. He said that the Russian children who were adopted into American families have become "little diplomats" who symbolize and strengthen friendship and cooperation between the USA and Russia.

Nina Kostina, president and founder of the foundation, pointed out that in the course of the ten years of its existence about 6,000 children from Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia and some other CIS countries acquired adopted parents in the USA, and about 4,000 more children received medical and educational assistance through the Foundation.

The evening was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and the public, as well as the children adopted in the USA and their adopted parents.
