Gagauzia's new leader speaks for priority relations with Russia

The Gagauz autonomy, as a constituent part of Moldavia, speaks for priority relations with Russia, Gagauzia's new head Georgy Tabunshchik said in his inauguration speech.

He believes the autonomy must take an active part in developing Moldavia's domestic and foreign policy. Moldavia should open new trade and economic representative offices in Russia and other CIS countries as soon as possible, according to Tabunshchik.

Georgy Tabunshchik also spoke for the restoration of "civil peace and inter-ethnic harmony" in Moldavia.
