Hollywood star George Clooney says he would love to act in one of the spectacular song and dance movies produced by Bollywood, India's prolific Hindi film industry, a television channel reported Thursday.
"I'd love to. There are some filmmakers whose films, when you see, you say: That could be an interesting story to tell," Clooney said in an interview with the private CNN-IBN channel.
The Oscar-winning actor said he was a fan of the Indian film industry and was impressed with the way it had expanded.
"I was watching a film the other day and the music was just amazing. It's become such a huge industry," Clooney said.
"There is a small market in the States as of now, but it will be fun if it catches on because it is such a positive way of looking at film making and I really love that. I truly think it's fun," he said.
Labeled the sexiest man alive by People magazine this year for the second time, Clooney is a hot favorite among India's English-speaking middle and upper classes, reports AP.
"It seems like the Indian filmmakers are pushing boundaries in terms of pushing the censors. I think it's (Bollywood) an interesting place for filmmakers to go," Clooney said.
Clooney's upcoming film, "The Good German," scheduled for release Dec. 15 in the United States, will be released in India in April.
