Income, social tax performance shows highest budget receipt growth rate

In the first quarter of the year, the growth of customs contributions to the budget amounted to 66 percent while that of tax proceeds to 152 percent, notes the president's press-secretary Alexey Gromov quoting Minister for Economic Development and Trade German Gref who spoke about this in the Kremlin with Vladimir Putin on Friday. The minister referred to the income and social taxes, which were cut drastically last year, as sources of the highest surplus. The president and the minister concentrated on economic results in the first quarter of the year, said the press-secretary. German Gref reported the first results of last year's reforms in customs duties and taxation as well as the basic parameters of the macroeconomic situation, in particular, growth rates, inlation level and industrial situation. Besides, the president and the minister touched upon progress in current change, including natural monopolies and structural economic reforms.
