A suspect tried to escape from the police during an investigation by jumping off a thirty-meter-high bridge into the Yenisei River. RIA Novosti informed that the 31-year-old prisoner was brought to one of the bridges of the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk to specify the details of the crime that he had committed. All of a sudden, the man (he had the handcuffs on) climbed over the rail and jumped into the river.
There was a rescue station nearby and its attendants caught the fugitive after he swam one kilometer downstream. The chief of the rescue team said that the man was not hurt due to his fall; he did not even catch a cold in the icy water. The man's name was not released, but it is known that he is suspected of murder as well as other crimes.
