American pop singer Lance Bass who failed to fly into outer space as a tourist intends to come back to Zvyozdny gorodok as a tourist to continue training for a space flight "by individual schedule," an informed source in the Gagarin Space Center told the RIA Novosti correspondent on Friday. "Bass intends to come to Russia as soon as possible, as he wants to continue pre-flight exercises in Zvyozdny gorodok among cosmonauts. We could not deny him in doing so, as he is really enthusiastic about space traveling. His trainings will take place on a commercial basis," the RIA Novosti's interlocutor specified.
The Russian Air Space Agency (Rosaviakosmos) informed RIA Novosti that "the undergoing by the singer of further training in Zvyozdny gorodok is a matter to be decided by the Gagarin Space Training Center." "Bass may pay for the exercises whose cost does not exceed $1mln, but he won't be allowed to take part in the space flight in October to the International Space Station (ISS), as Rosaviakosmos has already made up its mind on this issue," the source emphasized.
"However, if the singer undergoes additional training and is able to collect $20mln for his commercial flight, then it is not ruled out that his candidature for the flight will be considered again next year," the space agency said.
