The seven-billionth resident of planet Earth was born in Russia's Kaliningrad. The birth of the baby confirmed the forecast from the United Nations specialists, who said that planet Earth would have the seven-billion-strong population on October 31.

Peter Nikolaev was born at the maternity hospital of the city of Kaliningrad at 00:02 Moscow time, NIA Krasnoyarsk news agency said. The mother of the child will receive a special certificate from the United Nations - "Born on the day of seven billions," Utro.Ru reports.

The baby is 50 cm tall and weighs 3 kilos.

According to the UN population fund and the Russian Statistics Agency, the certificate of the seven-billionth human being on Earth should be awarded to the first child, who sees the light on October 31, 2011.
