38 countries will be represented at the 10th annual Moscow aerospace exhibition (MAKS) in Zhukovsky, said Deputy Air Force Commander Major General Dmitry Morozov. About 800 companies and organizations, which are active in aviation including the largest aviation companies in the world will take part in the exhibition. Delegations from the air forces of the US, France, and Italy will also take part. Morozov said that the first event will be the 'unofficial championship for flight groups.' The world's five strongest flight groups will participate at MAKS including three Russian, one French and one Italian group.
He said that the Russians will bring the largest aviation technology exhibition to MAKS. 'We will show that today aviation technology is a priority for us,' said Morozov. He said an entire line of military aviation will be shown including the SU-32 airplane, which is being readied for serial production, IL-76MF transport plane, and TU-160 and TU-95 bombers. A line of helicopters will also be shown including the ANSAT, MI-28H (Russia plans to produce 50 of these helicopters for the military by 2010), and GA-60.
